Festival Showcase Concert
The Jim Noble Award
This award of £500, in memory of Jim Noble, will be given for the overall best solo performance in all the classes for individual performers up to and including Year 13. Lesser awards will be given to the other finalists.
The finalists will be chosen by the Festival Adjudicators during the week and will not necessarily be class winners. Particular attention will be paid to technical and artistic merit and potential for the future.
A separate panel will adjudicate the final on Friday 24th March at the Festival Showcase concert to be held in Kendal Town Hall. The panel will comprise Alan Noble, Wendy Cann and Jonathan Thackeray.
The finalists are:
Thomas Burrows (piano)
Faye Bowness (soprano)
Alistair Burton (violin)
Rebecca Chandler (mezzo-soprano)
